Thrown firework blows up portable toilet: Morton Grove Police

The following items were taken from Morton Grove Police Department bulletins. An arrest does not constitute a finding of guilt.

Driving under the influence

Jesse Deleon, 34, of the 2300 block of Miles Street, Wyoming, Mich., was arrested June 25 at the intersection of Dempster Street and Central Avenue for fleeing and eluding a police officer, driving on a suspended driver’s license and driving under the influence of alcohol, police said.

Richard Enzenauer, 46, of the 36000 block of Joe Street, Hempstead, Tex., was arrested June 30 for driving under the influence of alcohol on at the intersection of Dempster and Athletic Streets June 30, police said.

Jack Burke, 28, of the 4300 block of Main Street, Skokie, was arrested July 2 for driving under the influence of alcohol at the intersection of Lincoln Avenue and Lehigh Street, police said. A court date is set for Aug. 9.

Traffic violations

Ninef Ishoo, 45, of the 8400 block of Normal Avenue, Niles, was arrested June 22 at the intersection of Dempster and Mason Streets for driving without a valid driver’s license, police said.

Porscha Hamilton, 30, of the 500 block of Vine Street, Highland Park, was arrested July 1 for driving on a suspended driver’s license and unlawful possession of cannabis on the 7100 block of Dempster Street, police said. A court date is set for Aug. 1.

Roseann Grippo, 57, of the 3800 block of Bridlecrest Avenue, Bradenton, Florida, was arrested July 4 for driving on a revoked driver’s license at the intersection of Dempster and Narragansett Streets, police said.

Theft

A complainant stated June 26 that an unknown male subject purchased two sets of building wire from a business on the 6300 block of Oakton Street and then returned different sets of building wires with the receipt, police said.

A complainant stated June 29 that her driver’s license and three credit/debit cards were missing and possibly taken from her purse while she was shopping on the 8600 block of Waukegan Road, police said.

A complainant stated July 1 he had made several purchases from T-Mobile and found that an iPhone 13 was not in the box and other items were there instead, police said.

A complainant stated July 3 that her wallet, which contained several debit and credit cards and her driver’s license, was taken from her purse while she was shopping on the 7200 block of Dempster Street and a total of $2,900 worth of purchases were put on the card, police said.

Fraud

A complainant residing on the 7000 block of Emerson Street stated on July 1 that he had lost both of his wallets and a company had recently charged his American Express credit card for $1,600, police said.

Identity theft

A complainant residing on the 8300 block of Concord Street stated June 30 that an unknown subject had created a bank account using his identity, police said.

Property damage

A complainant stated July 5 that a tree branch fell onto his vehicle July 5 while parked on the 8400 block of Mango Street, and damaged the hood, police said.

A complainant stated a firework was thrown into a portable toilet unit by the pool on the 6200 block of Dempster Street and blew it up July 4, police said.

Discharge of firework

An officer on patrol in the area near the 8700 block of Fernald Avenue said he heard fireworks going off July 4 and located a subject who ran away and damaged a fence, police said.

An officer was dispatched to the area near the intersection of Menard and Cleveland Avenues for a fireworks complaint July 4, police said.

An officer was dispatched to the area near the 9300 block of Murray Street for a fireworks complaint July 4, police said.

Burglary

A complainant stated June 29 that an unknown subject had taken a duffle bag containing a passport, toiletries, clothes and $200 from his white 2021 BMW while parked on the 8200 block of Mango Street, police said.
